Steve Aoki Made an Awful Bro-Step Version of the 'Ghost in the Shell' Theme
Until he's cryogenically frozen, bro-step master and heir to the Benihana fortune Steve Aoki will continue to get work as a professional song ruiner. The forthcoming live-action Ghost in the Shell remake has already garnered plenty of controversy, and its promotional materials are not getting any better with a new EDM explosion from Aoki.

Using Kenji Kawai's original beloved Ghost in the Shell score as source material, Aoki has crafted another explosive, spring break-ready bro anthem complete with all the wubs and flubs of yesteryear's dubstep radio hits.

It's, to say the least, a terrible interpretation of one of the most iconic film themes of all time. If we're lucky, though, the song hopefully will not appear in the movie, which is being scored by Clint Mansell.

Still, the fact that Aoki's remix exists at all is enough to keep Ghost in the Shell fans up at night. If you dare, you can check out the new version below.

Ghost in the Shell is due out on March 31 via Paramount Pictures.
