Late last year, Pavement and Jicks ringleader Stephen Malkmus performed Can's legendary album Ege Bamyasi in Cologne, Germany, backed by the band Von Spare. Now, he's announced plans to release that performance on a vinyl LP.
Naturally titled Can's Ege Bamyasi Played by Stephen Malkmus and Friends, the album will see a limited release on Record Store Day, which, as you should all know by now, takes place on April 20.
The album will be limited to 3,500 copies, with green vinyl hitting North American stores and red vinyl being disseminated through Europe. The cover art, available above, was created by David Shrigley.
