'There Is No Love in Fluorescent Light' (album stream)

BY Brock ThiessenPublished Oct 13, 2017

Following a steady string of teasers, Stars are now officially back with their new album There Is No Love in Fluorescent Light. As such, you can now stream it in full.

The album was recorded in Montreal and Connecticut with producer Peter Katis (the National, Japandroids), who previously said in a statement, "Stars is a complex organism with a long history. They are a combination of personalities simultaneously in conflict and harmony, ultimately coming together to make a really cool record. It feels fresh and new to me. I'm really proud of what we did. Bon travail a tous!"

The band's camp also stated that fans can expect lyrics that veer "into a world inhabited by characters that have lived inside Stars songs for almost twenty years; a place where people do desperate things in the name of love; a place where the cruelty and coldness of the technological world we live in, often smashes up against the frailties of the human heart."

You can hear exactly how that all plays out for yourself down below.

There Is No Love in Fluorescent Light is out now via Last Gang/eOne, and you can see the band's upcoming tour dates here.
