Spectres

'Nothing to Nowhere' (album stream)

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 4, 2013

Deranged Records issued Vancouver death rock revivalists Spectres' new LP Nothing to Nowhere on New Year's Day, but in case you haven't picked up the gloomy procession on wax just yet, you can check it out online in full in the player down below.

The set starts up with the deceptively uplifting goth anthem "Between Two Lines," but other standouts include the Cure circa-Seventeen Seconds-styled "Nothing to Nowhere," the subtle slow jam intro to "Slender Man," and the epic, tribal thudding of closer "Return to the Sea."

Spectres play a record release show at Vancouver's Zoo Zhop on January 19, with Chicago post-punks Population and other guests TBA.
