Some Dickhead Stole Beastie Boy Mike D's Surfboards

Between designing his own line of "grown man" bags and lending his talents to Cassius's latest LP, Beastie Boy Mike D has surely been hitting the water this summer for some surfing action. He may need to wait a little while to catch some waves this month, having been robbed of his surf and skate gear this weekend.

TMZ reports that the MC called the sheriff's department claiming someone had broken into the outdoor storage shed of his Malibu home. He reportedly lost thousands of dollars worth of equipment including between 15 and 20 surfboards, three of which were worth $1,000 each. He also lost several skateboards and other gear.

Mike D started surfing later in life after being inspired by his son. Here's hoping he'll be able to recover his gear to catch some waves soon.
