"Tell Me," the synth-stricken first single off of Soft Metals just-released Lenses LP, is about as glacial a track as you can imagine, but a pair of lovers certainly get hot and heavy in a video clip for the cut.
The makeout visuals were actually lifted from Seattle artist Erin Frost's 2010 video piece "Hardcore," from which Soft Metals also knicked Lenses' album art, and it finds her and Shaun Kardinal smooching up a storm. The track's erotic electronic oscillations seemingly pulls the couple deeper and deeper into a groove, and finds them stripped down and sweaty by song's end.
Tonight (July 19) Soft Metals will kick off a North American tour in San Diego. The band play Toronto on August 16 and Montreal the following night. You can see the complete list of dates here.
