Smashing Pumpkins and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will embark on a North American tour this summer, with support from AFI.
The strange combination will kick things off in Camden, NJ, on August 8, trekking north of the border for a single Canadian show in Toronto on August 13.
The remainder of concerts will take place stateside, eventually wrapping up in Mountain View, CA, on August 31.

Smashing Pumpkins' latest album, Shiny and Oh So Bright Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun., arrived last November. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, meanwhile, released Who Built the Moon? the same month.
Naturally, Gallagher's younger brother and former Oasis bandmate Liam Gallagher has commented on the joint tour announcement, declaring it "Pumpkins n Potatoes."
