It has been a hectic year for Toronto's Slim Twig, who released the long-awaited debut album Contempt! earlier this year via Paper Bag Records, but not before putting out his sample-based record Spit It Twig!, a personal nod to hip-hop mixtapes. Now, the musical misfit looks to continue his commitment to the format with Spit It Twig Vol. 2.
The second volume of the series features more collaborations than any of the artist's previous releases, including contributions from Dirty Beaches, Onakabazien, D-Sisive and a one-sided-career-fulfilling effort with David Lynch.
"The diversity of Spit It Twig Vol. 2 was meant to reveal my intention and future direction with tapes" said Twig in a press release, "which is to periodically expose experiments, and spontaneous ideas to those who are curious... all for a great price."

To cap all of this off, Slim has also announced a North American tour, which includes Canadian dates in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Guelph, ON.
