Sled Island Expands 2014 Lineup with Mission of Burma, White Lung, Blitzen Trapper

Calgary's Sled Island festival already announced a batch of performers who will be heading to the Alberta city from June 18 to 22, and now a new heap of names has been added to the bill.

Among the acts included in this latest rollout are Mission of Burma, Blitzen Trapper, White Lung, Elliott Brood, Julianna Barwick, Fiver, PS I Love You, Young Braised, William Tyler, the Fresh & Onlys, Bass Drum of Death, Black Atlass, Royal Canoe, U.S. Girls, Tough Age, Anciients, Solids, Dead Ghosts, Jay Arner, Disappears, Power Trip, La Luz, the Stanfields, Renny Wilson, Shannon & the Clams, the Lad Mags, Jerusalem in My Heart, Deadbeat, and Slow Down, Molasses, among others.

Guest curator Kathleen Hanna chose a few bands for the festival personally, including Screaming Females, Hunx & His Punx, Younger Lovers, Mind Troll and Roman Polanski's Baby

These acts join previously confirmed performers Spiritualized, Neko Case, Rocket from the Crypt, St. Vincent, Joel Plaskett Emergency, Rhye, Killer Mike, the Julie Ruin, Bob Mould and more. The full lineup will be announced later this month, along with the comedy and film portions.
