Sinéad O'Connor Cancels Summer Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jul 22, 2015

Sinéad O'Connor had been planning to perform in Canada a few times this summer, but that won't come to pass, since the headline-grabbing Irish singer has cancelled all of her dates, citing exhaustion.

None of O'Connor's official social media outlets have been updated to reflect the news, although her website says that she has no upcoming shows, and her agent has sent out a statement on her behalf. The message reads, "She is suffering from exhaustion due to an existing, not-resolved medical situation and she has been advised by the doctor to stop any activity and rest. Because of this she is completely unable to travel and to perform."

O'Connor had been due to play the Edmonton Folk Music Festival, the Regina Folk Festival, Calgary's Jack Singer Concert Hall, and Winnipeg's Interstellar Rodeo in the first half of August. See the cancelled schedule below, and read a couple of tweets from the folks behind the Canadian shows at the bottom of the page.

This is the second time that O'Connor has cancelled on Interstellar Rodeo. She cancelled her 2012 appearance at the festival due to her struggle with bipolar disorder.

O'Connor's album I'm Not Bossy, I'm the Boss came out last year.
