​Sinéad O'Connor Converts to Islam, Changes Name to Shuhada Davitt

After publicly battling with her mental health in recent years and changing her name to Magda Davitt, Irish-born singer Sinéad O'Connor has converted to Islam and now goes by the name Shuhada Davitt.
 
Her newly chosen name means "martyrs" in Arabic.
 
She revealed the name change on Twitter, along with a number of posts and photos that show her sudden religious conversion. Her new profile picture, meanwhile, features a Nike logo with the slogan: "Wear a Hijab / Just do it."
