If you're a fan of live music and video art then Friday night will be a very exciting night for you. Drop Out Video Arts, in association with BYOB (Bring Your Own Beamer), has organized Drop In/Drop Out, a video art exhibition featuring installations by local artists and live musical performances by local bands. Musical acts include Channels 3x4, Animal Bodies, Magneticring, Holzkoft and Crystal Dorval.

The minimalist L.A. psych-rockers Warpaint will be bringing their ethereal riffs to Vancouver as part of their North America tour. This show will be the first time these ladies have been to Canada since their debut album The Fool. Joining them on tour are PVT (formerly known as Pivot) and the Family Band.

Indie music fans are in for an epic night because the Elephant 6 Collective are bringing their Holiday Surprise Tour to the Horseshoe Tavern. To refresh your memory, the Elephant 6 Collective includes members from the likes of Neutral Milk Hotel, Of Montreal, the Olivia Tremor Control, Elf Power and many more. The Holiday Surprise Tour will feature this collective of legendary musicians playing a diversity of songs from their history of releases, as well as new collective compositions.
