Silver Mt. Zion Get "Lost” With TV Ad

Celebrated indie stalwarts, Thee Silver Mt Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band, have approved the use of their music in a commercial for major American broadcaster ABC. And what cause could be worth breaking Mt Zion’s notoriously staunch stance against corporate involvement? The upcoming fourth season of hit TV series Lost.

Parts of "Tho You Are Gone I Still Often Walk W/You” from 2001’s Born Into Trouble as the Sparks Fly Upward will be used in commercial teasers leading up to the show’s January 31st premiere. Fans are predictably in a tizzy on message boards, rife with sell-out speculation. Let’s hope they don’t lose sight of the most exciting news in the Mt. Zion camp though. The group’s forthcoming album, 13 Blues for Thirteen Moons is scheduled for release March 24 through Constellation. Maybe they’ll even be able to squeeze in a few more tour dates this time around with the extra funding.
