She & Him Detail 'Volume 3,' Schedule North American Tour with Camera Obscura
This spring just got a whole lot cuter, as cuddly indie-pop duo She & Him have confirmed the details of their latest album. The functionally titled Volume 3 is out on May 7 through Merge.

Technically speaking, Volume 3 is actually Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward's fourth album together, if you take into account their 2011 holiday disc A Very She & Him Christmas. Of the new collection's 14 Ward-produced tracks, 11 are originals by Deschanel and the other three are covers. It was recored in Los Angeles, Portland, and New York City and features contributions from NRBQ's Joey Spampinato, Mike Watt, Tilly and the Wall, Rilo Kiley's Pierre de Reeder, and Devotchka's Tom Hagerman.

A press release explains, "The album features some of the most dynamic, complex songs Deschanel has ever written, allowing for tempo shifts, disco grooves, string arrangements on multiple tracks, and horn flourishes that perfectly suit the She & Him sound."

The songs were written during Deschanel's downtime while filming her sitcom The New Girl. Check out the tracklist below, and scroll past that to see She & Him's tour schedule. This includes Canadian stops in Montreal and Toronto this July with Scottish pop act Camera Obscura.
