Brooklyn-based songstress Sharon Van Etten has slowly but surely built a following thanks to her affecting songs, most notably on her sophomore album Epic, as well as a rigorous tour schedule supporting the likes of Junip and the National. Now, she will likely gain an even wider audience after signing to Jagjaguwar.
A press release informs us that Van Etten has signed with the New York-based label and is working on a new as-yet-untitled album with the National's Aaron Dessner, who is serving as producer. The two previously collaborated on "Think You Can Wait," a song the National recorded for the film Win Win.
