Sgt. Pepper Dead At 40

BY Cam LindsayPublished Apr 18, 2007

Because nothing is sacred in this world, on June 2, BBC2 will run a special celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band featuring a slew of acts covering it. In the spirit of the original, the engineer that oversaw the album’s sessions in 1967 will apparently use the same equipment to record the new versions. Acts taking part in the special include Kaiser Chiefs, Travis, the Killers, Razorlight, the Fratellis and of course, the Beatles’ number one tribute band, Oasis.
