Serj Tankian previously promised to deliver an EP of songs he had planned to use on a now-cancelled System of a Down album. Finally, the singer is now giving us a glimpse of what's in store.

Tankian has shared a preview of the title track from his upcoming Elasticity EP, revealing the video for the song will arrive on Thursday night (February 4). The clip was directed by Vlad Kaptur, and you can check out a snippet below.

As previously reported, Tankian revealed plans for the EP back in May.

"Originally I had these songs in mind for a System record if we were to end up doing a System record," he explained to Spin. "But as we could not really see eye to eye on how to go forward with that I decided to finish them off myself and release them as an EP."

He added: "I always have random rock tracks done at different times and I sit on them. And then one day the right project or right idea for releasing them will come along."

Tankian's most recent solo full-length was 2013's classical symphony Orca, and he delivered a jazz-fusion full-length as Jazz-Iz-Christ that same year. His last proper rock album, however, was 2012's Harakiri.

More recently, Tankian got back with System of a Down for a pair of new songs, and he teamed up with Tom Morello for a Gang of Four cover.
