Sedge

"Not Ready to Die" (video)

Toronto alt-rock outfit Sedge dropped their debut album Selective Reasoning back in 2015, and now their sophomore LP Psychochondriac is on the way. But before the record lands in its entirety, Exclaim! is giving you the first look at a brand new video for lead single "Not Ready to Die."

The idea behind the clip is simple enough, aiming to showcase the band in all of their live glory — surrounded by pals and playing music.

"Making a music video is a pretty awkward experience for a band to partake in, so we thought that we might as well just be as comfortable as possible — let's play a party in front of our friends," the band's Mitch Heron tells Exclaim! "With the access to my school's equipment shortly coming to an end, we just took out a bunch of gear while we had the chance and started shooting the house party with a very guerrilla/DIY strategy."

Heron shot the clip with Nikita Brusnitsyn and edited it with Brendan Roesler.

Psychochondriac is officially out on January 26, but the band will be hosting an early listening party at Dead Dog Records' Roncesvalles location in Toronto tomorrow (January 19). Following that, they'll play an official album release show at the Baby G on February 3.

First, though, watch the "Not Ready to Die" video premiere in the player below.
