Published Jul 09, 2009Brooklyn dream pop crew School of Seven Bells have announced the details for their first-ever headlining North American tour. Following a mid-August date in New York, the band will kick off their tour in Philadelphia on September 25. From there, they'll mosey through the U.S. before coming up in Vancouver on October 9 and Toronto on October 15.
The tour comes as School of Seven Bells, who released their debut Alpinisms last year, plan to reissue a special edition of the record on July 14 via their old label home of Ghostly International and, um, pop punk clearing house Vagrant Records.
Yeah, we're a bit surprised by that too, but here's what the band's Benjamin Curtis had to say about the deal. "When the three of us and the Ghostly guys met with Vagrant, we knew it was the right fit for all of us," he explained in a statement. "We feel really lucky that we've had the success we've had so far with our music, but it seems like there are a lot of people out there who might still have a place for this music in their lives and I hope they get the chance. "
We'll just step aside now and let you make your own conclusions about all this.
