Sarnia concert series Empty Spaces is now in its ninth year of bringing independent live music to the southwestern Ontario city. To celebrate the anniversary, organizers have now unveiled the lineup for this year's Empty Fest.

Topping the bill this year are roaring Barrie duo Indian Handcrafts and self-proclaimed "14-piece brasshop beast" My Son the Hurricane. Rounding out the lineup are Whoop-Szo, Kaleidoscope Horse, Possum, Ellen Bolthe, Deathsticks, Never Betters, Bart, Get the Hell Outta Dodge, Puce, Two Suns, the Snakes, Seance Sisters, and My Autumn Kettle.

More acts are also set to be announced.

The ninth edition of Empty Fest will take place in Sarnia from May 4 to 6, taking over four different venues over the three evenings. As in years past, the first night of the festival is free. All shows are 19+, with doors opening at 9 p.m.

Full festival passes are available for $20 at the Refined Fool Brewery come March 24. If you're only looking for evening admission, the festival's early bird special is $10 at the door before 10 p.m.
