There's been a surge in Canadian solidarity in recent months for obvious reasons, and now the country's official Canada Day concert has revealed its lineup.

On July 1, the Department of Canadian Heritage will host both a noon ceremony and an evening show in Ottawa's LeBreton Flats Park. Performers will include Sarah McLachlan, Cœur de pirate, TALK, Amanda Marshall, Roch Voisine, Randy Bachman, Josh Ross, Tom Cochrane and more.

Additionally, the CBC broadcast of the event (hosted by Isabelle Racicot) will feature segments from Vancouver (Dear Rouge and Alex Wells), Yellowknife (Crook the Kid and Brenda Montana) and Summerside, PE (Blue Rodeo).

The noon ceremony will feature Amanda Marshall, Garou, Thompson Egbo-Egbo, Rafaëlle Roy and Alli Walker.

"The July 1 festivities will allow us to celebrate our unity and express our national pride, while affirming our sovereignty, our identity and our culture," the Department of Canadian Heritage said in a statement. "More than ever, this year is the perfect opportunity to wave our flag proudly and show the world what makes the True North strong and free. Canadians are encouraged to take part in celebrations in their communities across the country and in the heart of Canada's Capital Region."
