Well, it sure seems Saddle Creek isn’t just about Omaha anymore. This week, Bright Eyes’ home label swooped up not one but two Canadian artists: former Death From Above 1979 man Sebastien Grainger and Montreal indie rockers Land of Talk.

Following Saddle Creek’s signing of Toronto, ON’s Tokyo Police Club last year, the label has released American Names by fellow Canuck Grainger. While the release originally came as a Canada-only seven-inch and digital EP via Outside Music, it's now available to American listeners through the label’s website.

Grainger is also shooting for a Saddle Creek full-length in October under the name Sebastien Grainger and the Mountains. ("The Mountains” being "not really a band, [but] the idea of a band,” says Grainger’s MySpace page).

As for Land of Talk, the trio will be releasing their new studio album, Some Are Lakes, in October on Saddle Creek. The record follows their acclaimed 2006 EP, Applause Cheer Boo Hiss, and was recorded in Montreal with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon. Land of Talk also have a pair of dates coming up — July 26 at Hillside in Guelph, ON, and August 9 at the Wolfe Island Music Fest in Wolfe, ON — with more expected to be announced this fall.

While the tracklisting for Grainger’s full-length has yet to be released, here is the one for Land of Talk’s Some Are Lakes:

Land Of Talk - "Speak To Me Bones"
1. "Yuppy Flu”
2. "Death By Fire”
3. "The Man Who Breaks Things (Dark Shuffle)”
4. "Some Are Lakes” * first single
5. "Give Me Back My Heart Attack”
6. "It’s Okay”
7. "Young Bridge”
8. "Corner Phone”
9. "Got A Call”
10. "Troubled”
