Ryan Adams and deadmau5 Team Up in the Studio

Ryan Adams is already well-versed in alt-country, rock, pop and "legit metal," and now it seems as if the busy songwriter might be making a crossover into electronic music. Adams recently posted some photos on Twitter revealing that he is currently working with Canadian EDM titan deadmau5 (aka Joel Zimmerman) on a new project.

Yesterday (October 1), Adams wrote, "Recording a track with my new pal @deadmau5 today. Sounds like BladeRunner starring Don Henley." The tweet included a photo of the pair's home studio setup, which included a microphone, two computers and some gear.

And just in case you thought Adams was joking about his collaborative partner, he posted a photo of him sitting with Zimmerman (see above).

An additional photo of Adams was uploaded by deadmau5 with the caption "singin words n shit." More interesting than the image of Adams singing into a microphone, however, is the freaky candle and peacock on the wall.

There's no word as to how or when this collaboration will be released, but stay tuned for an announcement.

In other Ryan Adams collaboration news, he's been working with the Lemonheads on their next album.
