English rock icon Roger Waters hinted at the release of a new studio album last month, titled Is This the Life We Really Want? Now, the former Pink Floyd member has announced when we can expect his first solo effort in 25 years.
Is This the Life We Really Want? will arrive on May 19, and will be produced by Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, Beck). An accompanying teaser clip for the record shows Godrich and Waters in the studio with musicians laying down album tracks.
Waters told Rolling Stone last year that the record would be "part magic carpet ride, part political rant, part anguish." It's expected that he'll preview some of the new material on his massive upcoming "US + Them tour."
