If you're searching for Christmas-dinner conversation topics with the music-loving baby boomer in your life, look no further, as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has revealed its 2014 inductees.

According to Rolling Stone, the 2014 class of inductees includes Nirvana, Kiss, Hall and Oates, Peter Gabriel, Cat Stevens, Linda Ronstadt, and Bruce Springsteen's longtime backing group the E Street Band.

Since they can't just hand the honour over to the Beatles and the Rolling Stones every year, the organization will instead pay tribute to the bands' managers, handing over the Ahmet Ertegun award for non-performers to Brian Epstein and Andrew Loog Oldham, respectively.

Among the nominees not treated to induction were N.W.A., Chic, LL Cool J, the Zombies, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Deep Purple, Link Wray, the Meters, the Replacements and Yes.

The honours will be presented with a ceremony at Barclays Center in New York on April 10. For those who can't nab tickets (which go on sale in January), it will also be available on HBO in May.
