Rivers Cuomo Teams Up with Katy Perry for New Recordings

With the release of Raditude just around the corner, Weezer front-man Rivers Cuomo keeps dropping nuggets of weirdness all over the Internet. The latest is the news that the bespectacled singer has made plans to enter the studio with girl-kissing pop starlet Katy Perry next week.

In an interview with Buzznet, Cuomo revealed the plans, saying, "We're writing together next week. Can't wait!" But before you get worried that the two are starting some new project together, just know that these songs would be for Perry's next album.

Thankfully, that's not all from the Weezer camp. As of Tuesday (October 12), Weezer's iTunes Pass was released. Fans who pay for the service will be treated to a ton of deluxe material on weekly basis, including the band's current cover of the Clash's "Should I Stay or Should I Go".

Weezer have also unveiled their anticipated version of the Snuggie, known as the Wuggie. Now that we know about the Katy Perry collaboration, this seems relatively less cheesy. Nonetheless, the blanket/poncho hybrid is now available as part of a Raditude pre-order package available here.
