Rich Aucoin Takes Us on an Unusual Tour of Nova Scotia in "The Mind" Video

It's the latest from his upcoming album 'Release'

Ahead of the release of Release, Rich Aucoin has unveiled a music video for his previously shared single "The Mind."

The song doesn't feature any lyrics, but rather delves into an exploration of the mind through drums by Jeremy Malvin (Chrome Sparks) and Justin Peroff (Broken Social Scene) and vocal samples from Jenn Grant and Aucoin himself.

"The song is a reflection on the mind. The video is a reflection, as well. The less articulated, the better," Aucoin told Paste. "Meghan Tansey Whitton is a strong photographer and was experimenting with these reflections in the beautiful part of the world in which we both live, Nova Scotia. She shot this video over two years along with our faceless star, Mimi Audellyn."

As previously reported, Release will arrive on May 17 via Haven Sounds.
