RHCP's Video for "Tippa My Tongue" Is the Trip We Thought It Would Be

Anthony Kiedis: he's rapping again!

After teasing its arrival earlier this week, Red Hot Chili Peppers have delivered new song "Tippa My Tongue," the first single from their second double album of 2022, Return of the Dream Canteen.

That aforementioned teaser hinted at RHCP's latest single getting treated to some suitably psychedelic visuals, and the Malia James-directed video doesn't disappoint. Below, you'll find that the four-piece have left no stone unturned when it comes to colourful clothing and set pieces, mind-melting animation and video effects.

Perhaps most importantly, frontman Anthony Kiedis foregoes any kind of accent this time around and gets back to rapping in freaky, styley fashion. Some choice lyrics before pressing play: "I'm an animal / Something like a cannibal," "I'm at the pyramids / Never had a fear of kids," "I'm on the precipice / Come and make a mess of this."

Return of the Dream Canteen is out October 14. Read Exclaim!'s review of Unlimited Love.

In September, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith will pay tribute to late friend and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.
