Retribution Gospel Choir Sign to Sub Pop, Set Sophomore Album for January Release

BY Josiah HughesPublished Oct 9, 2009

In some news that can be filed under "no-brainer," Retribution Gospel Choir have signed with venerable indie powerhouse Sub Pop. The reason this decision makes so much sense is that the band features two-thirds of long-running slow-core champions Low, who are also signed to Sub Pop.

The Choir released their self-titled debut album last year via Mark Kozelek's Caldo Verde imprint, and are currently planning their second release. The record is simply called 2, and Sub Pop will be dropping it on January 26.

The band are currently planning a North American tour for that same month, but so far the dates have yet to be announced.

2:

6. "White Wolf"
7. "The Last of the Blue Dream"
8. "Something's Going to Break"
