Last night (May 22), celebrity lookalikes Will Ferrell and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith squared off in a drum battle on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. What's more, Smith brought along his Chili Peppers buddies for a full-band performance.
Naturally, Smith and Ferrell were dressed the exact same as they sat down for a jokingly tense, angry interview in which they pretended to be one another. As for the drum battle — well, you'll have to see for yourself whether Ferrell's drum skills match Smith's. The Chili Peppers make an appearance here, but we won't spoil the surprise.
Additionally, the Chili Peppers collaborated with house band the Roots to cover Funkadelic's "Standing on the Verge of Getting It On" and perform their own "Give It Away" while Fallon danced along and smashed a cymbal. Watch it all below, and note that this version of "Give It Away" is only a one-minute snippet.
