Red Hare

"Silverfish" (video)

Red Hare are reportedly in the midst of finishing their sophomore follow-up to Nites of Midnite, but before that arrives, the hardcore lifers are blessing us with a three-song 7-inch. The record's "Silverfish" is being previewed with a live clip-loaded music video before you can slap that slab of wax on your turntable, and it's streaming now.

While scored by the studio recording, the video compiles footage of the band smashing out the track from various U.S. tour spots, including a club in Spokane, WA, apparently just inches away from an Arby's.

Just as ominous as the post-hardcore melody is Shawn Brown's choked out philosophy of "your existence provokes your demise." He adds chillingly, "do you understand?"

"Silverfish" appears on the band's forthcoming 7-inch through Dischord/Hellfire Records. Featuring two new songs and a cover of Lungfish's "Sphere of Influence," it officially lands February 16.
