Rebekah Higgs Announces Canadian Tour, Signs to Hidden Pony for Sophomore LP

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 29, 2011

While it's only been a few months since Rebekah Higgs released her Little Voice EP, we haven't heard a solo full-length from the Halifax songstress since her 2006 debut. That will soon change, as she is gearing up to release her sophomore LP this summer. But before that, she will head out on a Canadian tour in May.

The outing will be entirely based in Canada's eastern half. Following a series of shows in Ontario, Higgs will head east through Quebec before playing a few gigs in the Maritimes. See the schedule below.

As for the new LP, it will come out via Hidden Pony, the label that's home to Said the Whale, Imaginary Cities, Jeremy Fisher and Hannah Georgas.

Speaking of the signing, Higgs said in a press release, "They are a young label, with a young team, full of energy, exuberance, and a love for music and a passion for what they do. As an artist you couldn't hope for more."

The details of the as-yet-untitled new album will be confirmed in the coming months. In the meantime, you can listen to her entire Little Voice EP at the bottom of this page.
