Real Estate and Woods Team Up for Spring Tour

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jan 5, 2010

Despite sharing a record label, Real Estate (pictured) and Woods don't share much musical common ground. Unlike Woods' shaggy psych-folk jams, Real Estate's recently released debut favours crystalline dream pop, replete with shimmering washes of reverb-soaked ambience. Regardless of their styles, the fact that they are both signed to Woodsist means that they have a tendency to get erroneously lumped into the lo-fi/fuzz scene and makes for a logical pairing for a joint North American tour.

This spring, the two groups will be teaming up for a U.S./Canada tour that includes two Canadian shows, first in Montreal then in Toronto. Down south, the bands will hit up such cities as New York, Chicago, Nashville and Cleveland.
