Real Estate Reveal Domino Debut

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jul 12, 2011

In 2009, Ridgewood, NJ indie rockers Real Estate broke out of the Woodsist lo-fi mold with their self-titled debut, opting instead for well-written pop songs and clean guitar tones. Earlier this year, we reported that the group had signed with the venerable Domino imprint for their next release, and now we have the details for that album.

The record is called Days, and was recorded with Titus Andronicus/the Walkmen producer Kevin McMahon in Upstate New York. A press release calls the album "a gorgeous suite of timelessly melodic, achingly melancholy pop songs and a delightfully confident follow-up" to their debut.

Days will be available on October 18. It will be preceded by the "It's Real" seven-inch single, which will be backed with a new recording of the old song "Blue Lebaron." That will be available September 27 in North America and October 10 in the UK, but you can stream or download "It's Real" via the widget below.

Real Estate also have plenty of stops left on their current North American tour, the dates of which can be seen below.
