Out with the old, in with the new year — and a new issue of Exclaim! on the streets nationwide, with a fancy new redesign to match. New fonts, clean lines, a spacious, minimalist look to our review pages — there's a ton to feast your eyes on, and that's without mentioning the kick-ass artists we're featuring. Head to your favourite Exclaim! outlet and grab an issue, because the list is something to behold.

Beat connoisseur and laid-back rapper extraordinaire A$AP Rocky is this month's cover star, and he takes the opportunity to dig deep about his hard-knock youth and his hard path to success.

Our Timeline feature puts pioneering L.A. punks Bad Religion under the spotlight, documenting their beginnings as high-school misfits to a band who have remained consistently great for almost the entirety of their 30-plus-year career. My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James takes our monthly Questionnaire, in which he gets passionate about the state of the U.S. and and getting caught dancing on TV to James Brown.

Daniel Romano discusses the guitars that were foundational to his new LP, Come Cry With Me, in our What I Play feature. Plus, this month, we reveal the results of our annual readers poll. It turns out you guys really love Metric.

Speaking old and new, we published interviews with veteran Canuck songwriter Hayden and with indie-rock upstarts Local Natives, whose new LP might just top their debut.

We have a slew of exclusive interviews too, with Toro y Moi, Angel Haze, Thao & the Get Down Stay Down, Buke and Gase, and Voivod, so there's something for music fans across genre lines.

More interviews and issue content will come your way online in the weeks to come. To read all our magazine features now, you'll have to pick up an issue of the new Exclaim! issue at your favourite local music-friendly hangout.
