The X-Files is currently airing a limited series on television, and fans who were eager for the show to return have been having mixed reactions. Maybe all that it's missing is a little punk edge. Fortunately, that will soon be remedied with a cameo from Rancid's Tim Armstrong.
The raspy-voiced punk man (and Pink songwriter) will make an appearance on the show's forthcoming fourth episode. According to IMDb, he'll play a character named "Trashman."
The X-Files appearance marks Armstrong's first television role since 2010, when he voiced a character named Mr. Cactus on Yo Gabba Gabba! That said, thanks to Rancid and Transplants song placements in various teen movies, the "Known For" section of his IMDb is rather hilarious:
