Radiohead Side-Projet the Smile Announce Debut Album 'A Light for Attracting Attention'

Radiohead members Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, along with Sons of Kemet's Tom Skinner, have been releasing a steady stream of singles with their side-project the Smile. Now, they've finally announced their anticipated debut album: A Light for Attracting Attention is out digitally on May 13 through XL, followed by physical editions on June 17. The single "Free in the Knowledge" is out today.

The album was produced and mixed by Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich. It features strings from the London Contemporary Orchestra, plus a full brass section. 

The 13-song tracklist includes previously released singles "You Will Never Work in Television Again," "The Smoke," "Skrting on the Surface" and "Pana-vision," plus songs from the band's recent live performances. A Light fore Attracting Attention is available to preorder in various formats here. A yellow vinyl version will be exclusive to indie retailers.
