"Photo Dynasmo"

Hirohito Ihara (aka Radicalfashion) may be introduced as a pianist, considering it's been his instrument of choice since a child, but his approach to shaping chords is nothing short of astonishing. "Photo Dynasmo" is taken from his Hefty Records debut, Odori, which was inspired by his seaside surroundings in Kobe, Japan. The use of twinkling piano loops and breathy vocals paints vivid textures that could be the loveliest example of music assigned to the designation of "glitch." His use of micro-sampling is expertly realised, and the video’s dreamlike swirls - what appears to be the mixing of a glass of strawberry milk - further attains the crashing wave aura of his oceanic vision.
