R. Kelly Sets Up 'Black Panties' Hotline but Beware

With the release of R. Kelly's Black Panties just a couple of weeks away, there must be a ton of stuff running through the R&B singer's mind. As such, Kels has now set up a new hotline to let fans in on some more potentially salacious tidbits.

Right now, if you call the Black Panties hotline (312-380-6596), you can sign up to get eight messages a month from the singer.

R. Kelly's automated greeting message states: "Yo what up ya'll this ya boy Kellz. Thanks for hitting up the Black Panties hotline. Let's turn up and take it to another level. Press 1 to officially tap into Black Panties."

It's unclear exactly what will be shared in the forthcoming messages. But if you hang up, you'll later receive a text again asking you to sign up "to get your Kellz Black Panties msg," which further notes that standard message and data rates may apply to the hotline.

According to the 405, if you do not sign up to the hotline, you will keep receiving text alerts until you give in. So you might want to be cautious about calling that number unless you really want some updates from Kellz.

Earlier this month, after confirming the art and tracklisting for the long-in-the-works LP, R. Kelly revealed that a deluxe pre-order for the set could yield you an actual pair of black lace panties. If you wanted to pick those up, no doubt in order to pull them off to the sounds of R. Kelly, you can order that particular package, which also includes an exclusive download of non-album track "Lights On," over here.

Black Panties drops December 10 through RCA.
