Marjorie Grande — beloved nonna (grandmother) of Ariana Grande — has died. She was 99 years old.

The pop star announced her family matriarch's passing in an Instagram story shared today. "Marjorie (Nonna) Grande passed peacefully in her home and was surrounded by her family and loved ones for every moment of her last few weeks. We thank you for your love, support, and for respecting our privacy as we grieve and celebrate her beautiful, extraordinary life," the statement reads in part.

Grande has always been close with her nonna, with Marjorie even making appearances on some of Ariana's songs. Last year, she became the oldest person featured on a Billboard Hot 100 single after lending her spoken word chops to Ariana's "Ordinary Things." She's also appeared on the tracks "Daydreamin" and "bloodline."
