Pussy Riot Release "Nightmares" and "Pong!" Videos

Following their headline-grabbing World Cup demonstration and the video for "Track About Good Cop," Pussy Riot have delivered two more new tracks.

The first is "КОШМАРЫ / Nightmares," a Russian prison song that partially covers Dina Vierny's "Nightmares."

"Building an alternative universe in prisoners' folklore helps to keep valuing and respecting yourself as a human being, even if you're living in a fucking nightmarish hell," Pussy Riot explained in a press release.

The second track is titled "Pong!," and it follows suit in the prison song style.

"They belong to everybody, and they have proven to be a amazing tool of empowerment: a good old song that's making laugh of prison guards can lift your spirit in a sad moment," Pussy Riot said. "And, thus, literally save your life (spirit is pretty much the only one thing that keeps you alive in Russian prison)."

The group are releasing the tracks with the specific demand to free Oleg Sentsov, a Russian political prisoner who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence and has been on a hunger strike for 72 days.
