XL Recordings is gearing up to reissue the Prodigy's hit 1997 album The Fat of the Land next month. This reissue includes several remix bonus tracks, including Major Lazer's version of "Smack My Bitch Up." Now that remix has hit the web.
This track, which also appears as part of a vinyl remix EP called The Added Fat, stays true the aggressive dance floor vibe of the original. It also gives it a modern spin thanks to some fax-machine-gone-haywire dubstep drops and menacing electronic noise.
