Primal Scream are currently touring in support of their latest LP Chaosmosis, but things took a bit of a scary turn for frontman Bobby Gillespie at a festival show in Switzerland last night (June 2). He's currently recuperating in hospital after falling off stage during the band's set.
Primal Scream were forced to end their Caribana Festival set early when Gillespie fell seven feet from a speaker stack and into the crowd. According to NME, the singer suffered what are believed to be minor back injuries.
He was taken away from the festival on a stretcher and is currently recovering in hospital. The band have released a statement via Twitter, thanking fans for their concern and explaining that they're "waiting for more news" but eager to return to the road.
The band's next scheduled appearance is set for June 17 in Spain.
