With the world up in flames, there's never been a more appropriate time to have Porno for Pyros back in the studio working on their first new music in over 25 years.

The Jane's Addiction offshoot, consisting of the band's Perry Farrell and Stephen Perkins, Mike Watt of the Minutemen and founding guitarist Peter DiStefano, first reunited back in 2020 for Lollapalooza's Lolla2020 livestream event. They went on to play an actual live show together — their first in more than 20 years — at this year's Welcome to Rockville back in Daytona Beach, FL, back in May, filling in last-minute for Jane's.

Now, DiStefano has confirmed that the frisky and fiery outfit are making new music together, posting a photo of himself and Farrell in the studio over the weekend. It boasted the simple yet informative caption: "@pornoforpyros writing and recording new music."

The band released their self-titled debut in 1993, followed by sophomore LP Good God's Urge in 1996.
