If you recently shelled out a lot of money for an appearance by Lil Wayne or Drake at your birthday party this weekend, chances are you've been duped. An imposter pretending to be Cortez Bryant, Young Money head and manager of the giant rappers, has been raking in the cash by booking fraudulent shows across North America.

In a statement released to the press, the real Bryant Management explained, "It has come to light that an individual has been impersonating Bryant Management CEO Cortez Bryant for financial gain through false bookings of his clients, specifically the much buzzed-about recording artist Drake."

As MTV points out, the fake Bryant has been using this Twitter account, along with an official-looking email address, to dupe promoters. Some quotes from the Twitter read, "who wants to make some easy money hit me," and "promoters hit me if you want Drake or Wayne for a show."

The real Cortez Bryant is working with authorities to find and arrest the imposter.
