Play Wavves' 'Weed Demon' Videogame

Last year, we learned that California pop punks Wavves were in the middle of developing their very own videogame in the style of Atari's Paperboy, and the band have finally delivered the goods. The game is called Weed Demon, after Wavves' 2009 record of the same name, and you can play it for free online over at Vice.

"It's like Paperboy but you deliver drugs and you feed a monster meth at the end," bandleader Nathan Williams said in a statement. "Hope we can turn Weed Demon into an app someday."

The game lets you plays as either Williams, who cruises around on a BMX, or skateboarding band buddy Stephen Cooper. The object is to successfully sling dope to doorsteps across your neighbourhood while dodging the cops, anthropomorphic cats and other dangers. Your aim is the key, though, as you don't want to just drop your product all willy nilly.

Check out the game, developed by the band, Vice and Mishka, over here, and consider playing the game all night while sampling your own supply. Also, take note of the chiptune version of the group's "So Bored" that plays in the background, as performed by Anamanaguchi.
