Pink Mountaintops Tour West Coast, Open for Psych Folk Hero Rodriguez in Vancouver

Just as Pink Mountaintops scored a spot on the Polaris Prize long list for their excellent third LP, Outside Love, Stephen McBean & co. have announced a string of West coast tour dates. Kicking off at Vancouver's Richard's on Richards on September 15, the band will mosey down the coast, through Seattle, San Francisco, Santa Cruz and Los Angeles, hitting up Bellingham on the way home.

Besides the fall tour, Pink Mountaintops will be playing a rare show in Vancouver on June 22, when they'll open up for cult psych folk legend Rodriguez. Seriously, we didn't even know this guy was even still among the living, let alone actively touring. And trust us, if you've yet to discover Rodriguez's 1970 debut, Cold Fact, check it out. We promise you won't be disappointed.

Meanwhile, McBean's other band Black Mountain (you may have heard of them?) will be performing at the Ottawa Blues Festival on July 18.

Pink Mountaintops tour dates:

6/22 Vancouver, BC, Canada - Richard's on Richards *
9/15 Vancouver, BC, Canada - Richard's on Richards
9/17 Seattle, WA - Crocodile Cafe w/ John Vanderslice

9/21 Santa Cruz, CA - The Crepe Place
