Pheonix's fantastic new single, "Entertainment," has already been reworked by Dinosaur Jr. and Blood Orange, and now the guys from Phoenix have reinvented their own tune as a stripped-down ditty.
This homemade clip finds the four Frenchmen sitting down in front of a green screen image of the Palace of Versailles and performing while a dog wanders in an out of the shot. To call this "acoustic" would be inaccurate, since much of the instrumentation is handled by two keyboards, but this is an intimate version of the thumping track that works surprisingly well.
Phoenix's album Bankrupt! drops on April 23 through Glassnote.
