Former Yellow Swans member Pete Swanson has been on a solo tear the last few years, having released a series of LPs and singles on a variety of labels. He'll keep diversifying his catalogue with a Software debut in 2013 via the Punk Authority EP, which the imprint drops March 12.
A press release for the "deformed warehouse techno" artist explains that this latest release is a "four-track stomper," with a synth and tape setup that "siphons [Swanson's] club constructions through a hoarse mix of saturation and overdrive, resulting in something aggressive yet effortlessly foot pushing."
You can stream the epic, nearly 13-minute closer "Life Ends at 30" down below, where you'll also find a geometric, screen-saver-styled clip for a radio edit of the pulsating number.
Punk Authority:
1. Punk Authority
2. C.O.P.
3. Grounds For Arrest
4. Life Ends at 30
