Last week, Pearl Jam began counting down to a mysterious announcement with an online clock. Now, that clock has reached zero and the big reveal has turned out to be a North American arena tour.
The trek runs for close to two months from October to December (although it includes a break in the first half of November). In that time, the band will play a slew of U.S. cities, in addition to two Canadian dates: Calgary on December 2 and Vancouver on December 4. See the schedule below.
Watch a short, rather sombre trailer for the tour at the bottom of this page. A ticket pre-sale for members of the band's Ten Club begins today (July 8). Tickets then go on sale to the public on July 27 at 10 a.m. local time.
We previously speculated that the countdown might have something to do with the band's long-in-the-works new album. Unfortunately for fans, the announcement makes no mention of their future release plans.
UPDATE: Strangely enough, Pearl Jam have now started up another countdown clock, this one ending at noon PDT (or 9 a.m. EDT) on Thursday (July 11).
